Gillespie Engineering is a medium sized company based in Penrose, operating since 1975.
We have a full-time position for a Factory Cleaner / General Hand.
Forklift licence and First Aid Certificate would be of advantage but not essential. Training will be provided to the right candidate if necessary.
About the role:
- Various cleaning throughout the factory
- Cleaning factory floor
- Office cleaning including floors
- Cleaning toilets
- Emptying metal swarf (shavings) from machines to waste bin
- Tea and coffee for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Some driving duties
- Penal rates paid after 40 hours/week
You need to be the following:
- Physically fit and healthy
- Good communication skills
- A positive “can do attitude”
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Able to work in a team environment
A drug and alcohol test will be carried out on the successful applicant prior to starting employment.
Applicants for this position need to have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
A current full NZ drivers licence is essential.
